What Are Haliborange Gummies and Are They Right for Your Child?
If you've ever tried convincing a reluctant child to swallow a tablet, you'll know the struggle is real. Haliborange gummies offer a genuinely enjoyable way for children to get their daily vitamin C, coming in a fruit-flavoured chewable format that most kids actually look forward to. Each pack contains 90 gummies, giving you a generous supply that lasts well into the season. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that the body cannot manufacture itself, meaning it must come from diet or supplementation — and for fussy eaters, that gap can be surprisingly easy to miss.
The NHS recommends that children aged 6 months to 5 years take daily vitamin supplements containing vitamins A, C, and D, particularly if they are not eating a varied diet. Even beyond that age group, many children fall short of their recommended daily intake through food alone. You can explore a wider range of children's and adult options in our vitamins and supplements collection.
How Do Haliborange Gummies Work to Support Children's Health?
Vitamin C — also known as ascorbic acid — is a water-soluble vitamin that plays several important roles in the body. Because it's water-soluble, the body doesn't store it, so a regular daily intake is needed. Here's how it works:
- Contributes to normal immune system function, helping the body defend against everyday infections
- Supports collagen synthesis, which is important for healthy skin, bones, cartilage, and wound healing
- Helps reduce tiredness and fatigue by supporting normal energy-yielding metabolism
- Enhances the absorption of non-haem iron from plant-based foods
- Acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress
The gummy format means the vitamin C is released as your child chews, making it easy to absorb through the digestive tract in the usual way.
Who Should Use Haliborange Gummies and Who Are They Suitable For?
These gummies are designed with children in mind. They're particularly useful for:
- Children aged 3 and over who are fussy eaters or have a limited diet
- Children who struggle to swallow tablets or capsules
- Families looking for a convenient, once-daily supplement routine
- Children who may be more susceptible to colds and infections during autumn and winter months
They are not intended as a replacement for a balanced, varied diet. If your child has a diagnosed medical condition, a known allergy to any of the ingredients, or is already taking other supplements, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting.
How Do Haliborange Gummies Compare to Other Children's Vitamin Supplements?
| Feature | Haliborange Gummies (Pack of 90) | Standard Children's Chewable Tablets |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft fruit-flavoured gummy | Hard chewable tablet |
| Child palatability | High — sweet, fruity taste | Variable — can be chalky |
| Pack size | 90 gummies | Typically 30–60 tablets |
| Key nutrient | Vitamin C | Often multivitamin blend |
Are Haliborange Gummies Safe to Store at Home?
Yes, provided you follow a few simple guidelines. Store the pack below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. The bathroom cabinet isn't ideal — temperature and humidity fluctuations can affect the gummies' texture and potency. A kitchen cupboard away from the hob works well. Always keep the lid tightly closed after use.
Crucially, because Haliborange gummies look and taste like sweets, they must be stored out of reach and sight of young children to prevent accidental overconsumption. If you're also managing other health products at home, our baby and toddler collection has further options suited to younger age groups.
This product is a food supplement. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using if your child has an underlying medical condition or is taking other medicines.

What Are Haliborange Gummies and What Are They Used For?
Haliborange gummies are a fruit-flavoured, chewable vitamin C supplement designed for children aged 3 and over. They are used to help maintain adequate vitamin C intake in children who may not get enough through their diet alone. Vitamin C is essential for normal immune function, healthy skin and connective tissue, and the absorption of iron from food. The NHS advises that children between 6 months and 5 years should take vitamin supplements daily, and many healthcare professionals recommend continuing supplementation beyond this age if dietary intake is inconsistent.
What Do You Need to Know Before Giving Your Child Haliborange Gummies?
Before starting any supplement, it's worth checking a few things. These gummies are generally well tolerated, but there are some important points to be aware of:
Do not use if your child:
- Is allergic to any of the listed ingredients — always check the label
- Has a condition affecting iron metabolism, such as haemochromatosis, as vitamin C increases iron absorption
- Is already taking other vitamin C supplements — avoid doubling up
- Is under 3 years of age — this product is not suitable for younger children
Potential interactions to be aware of:
- High-dose vitamin C may interact with certain chemotherapy agents — seek medical advice if relevant
- Vitamin C can enhance the absorption of aluminium from antacids — separate doses if your child takes antacids
- At recommended daily doses, clinically significant interactions are uncommon
If your child has any ongoing health conditions or takes prescribed medicines, speak to your GP or pharmacist before use. You might also find it helpful to browse our cold and flu collection for additional immune support products.
How Should You Give Your Child Haliborange Gummies?
- Check the label to confirm the correct dose for your child's age
- Give the gummies once daily, ideally with or after a meal
- Ensure your child chews the gummies thoroughly before swallowing
- Do not give more than the recommended number of gummies per day
- Store the pack out of reach after each use
| Age Group | Recommended Dose | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Children aged 3–12 years | 2 gummies | Once daily |
| Children aged 12 and over | Follow label instructions | Once daily |
| Adults | Not recommended — use adult formulation | N/A |
Always follow the dosage instructions on the product label. If you are unsure, ask your pharmacist.
What Are the Possible Side Effects of Haliborange Gummies?
At the recommended dose, side effects are uncommon. Vitamin C is generally very well tolerated in children. However, taking more than the recommended amount can cause problems.
Common side effects (usually associated with excess intake):
- Mild stomach discomfort or cramps
- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
Less common side effects:
- Headache
- Flushing of the skin
- Kidney stones with very high long-term doses (not applicable at standard supplementation levels)
If your child experiences any unexpected reaction, stop use and consult a pharmacist or GP. In the event of accidental overdose, contact NHS 111 or go to your nearest A&E.
How Should You Store Haliborange Gummies?
- Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from direct sunlight and sources of heat
- Always replace the lid firmly after use
- Do not store in the bathroom — humidity can affect the gummies
- Keep out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental overconsumption
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging
- Do not freeze
Haliborange gummies are a food supplement, not a medicine. They should complement — not replace — a healthy, varied diet. If you're looking for broader nutritional support for your family, our vitamins and supplements collection includes a wide range of options for all ages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I buy Haliborange gummies online in the UK?
You can buy Haliborange gummies directly from Cured Pharmacy, a GPhC-registered UK online pharmacy, for just £9.49 per pack of 90. Simply add the product to your basket and complete checkout for fast UK delivery. No prescription is required as this is an over-the-counter food supplement.
How do Haliborange gummies work in the body?
Haliborange gummies deliver vitamin C (ascorbic acid), a water-soluble vitamin that the body cannot produce on its own. Once absorbed through the digestive tract, vitamin C supports immune cell function, collagen production, and acts as an antioxidant to protect cells from damage. Because the body doesn't store vitamin C, a regular daily intake is important for maintaining adequate levels.
How do I give Haliborange gummies to my child step by step?
Give your child the recommended number of gummies once daily, ideally with or after a meal to aid absorption and reduce any chance of stomach discomfort. Make sure your child chews the gummies thoroughly rather than swallowing them whole. Always supervise young children during use and store the pack out of reach afterwards.
What is the correct dose of Haliborange gummies for children?
For children aged 3 and over, the typical recommended dose is 2 gummies per day — always check the product label as instructions may vary by formulation. Do not exceed the stated dose, as taking too much vitamin C can cause gastrointestinal side effects. If you're unsure about the right dose for your child's age, speak to your pharmacist.
What is the best time of day to give Haliborange gummies?
There is no strict requirement for a specific time of day, but giving the gummies with or after a meal is generally recommended to support absorption and minimise any risk of stomach upset. Many parents find it easiest to build it into the morning breakfast routine so it becomes a consistent daily habit. Consistency matters more than timing when it comes to vitamin supplementation.
Can adults take Haliborange gummies?
Haliborange gummies are formulated specifically for children, and the dose is calibrated accordingly. Adults who need vitamin C supplementation should use a product designed for adult use with appropriate adult dosing. Taking children's gummies as an adult is unlikely to cause harm at the stated dose, but it would not provide the full adult daily requirement of vitamin C.
What are the side effects of Haliborange gummies?
At the recommended dose, side effects are uncommon and the product is generally well tolerated. If too many gummies are taken, your child may experience stomach cramps, nausea, or diarrhoea due to excess vitamin C. If any adverse effects occur, stop use and consult a pharmacist or GP.
What happens if my child accidentally takes too many Haliborange gummies?
Because the gummies taste like sweets, accidental overconsumption is a real risk — always store them out of reach. If your child has eaten a large number, contact NHS 111 for advice or take them to your nearest A&E if you are concerned. Excess vitamin C is generally excreted in urine, but very high amounts can cause digestive upset and, in rare cases, kidney stones with prolonged excessive intake.
Are Haliborange gummies suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
Some Haliborange gummy products contain gelatine derived from animal sources, which makes them unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans. Always check the ingredient list on the specific product packaging before purchasing. If you need a vegan-friendly alternative, browse our vegan collection for suitable options.
Do Haliborange gummies contain allergens?
The product may contain allergens depending on the specific formulation — always read the full ingredient list and allergen information on the packaging before use. Common considerations include gelatine, glucose syrup, and added colours or flavourings. If your child has a known food allergy, check with your pharmacist before starting.
Who is eligible to take Haliborange gummies?
Haliborange gummies are suitable for children aged 3 years and over who need additional vitamin C support. They are particularly useful for children with limited dietary variety, fussy eaters, or those who struggle to take tablet-form supplements. Children with underlying health conditions or those taking prescribed medicines should be assessed by a GP or pharmacist before starting.
What are the alternatives to Haliborange gummies for children?
Alternatives include other children's chewable vitamin C tablets, liquid vitamin C drops for younger children, or multivitamin syrups that include vitamin C alongside other nutrients. The NHS Healthy Start scheme also provides free vitamin drops for eligible families with young children. You can explore a range of options in our vitamins and supplements collection.
How long can my child take Haliborange gummies for?
Haliborange gummies can be taken as part of a daily routine for as long as dietary vitamin C intake remains insufficient. There is no set maximum duration for supplementation at recommended doses, as vitamin C is water-soluble and excess is excreted rather than stored. If you have concerns about long-term use, discuss with your GP or pharmacist at your child's next review.
Do Haliborange gummies help with colds and immunity?
Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, which is why it's often associated with cold prevention and recovery. However, the NHS notes that while vitamin C supports immune health, it is not a cure for the common cold. Maintaining adequate vitamin C levels through diet or supplementation is a sensible part of overall immune support, particularly during winter months.
What are the latest findings on vitamin C supplementation in children?
Current evidence supports vitamin C supplementation in children who do not meet their daily requirements through diet, particularly for immune function and collagen synthesis. The NHS continues to recommend vitamin supplements for children aged 6 months to 5 years, and many paediatric dietitians support continued supplementation for older children with restricted diets. Research does not support mega-dosing beyond recommended levels, as benefits plateau and risks of side effects increase.
